“A bottle of red, a bottle of white. It’s all up to your appetite. See you anytime at our Italian restaurant.” Is your Italian restaurant one of the best in America?
The Tasting Table was recently named one of the 20 Best Italian Restaurants in the U.S.
“Today, Italian food is the second most popular in America, so finding it is no problem.
Nearly four million Italian immigrants moved to the United States between 1880 and 1924, according to officials. Many moved to New York State and the Northeast. This probably explains why New York State tops the list of the best Italian restaurants.
Carbon, New York City
New York City’s Carbon is the first New York restaurant to be named.
“This first-class Italian restaurant in a retro and glamorous space offers fine red sauce dishes,” says Carbon.
This Italian-American restaurant in Greenwich Village was founded by Mario Carbon, Rich Trissi and Jeff Zaraznick. Thanks to the huge success of its New York location, Carbone has expanded to other stores in Las Vegas, Miami, Dallas and Hong Kong.
Resora, New York City
New York City’s Redzôra was also honored.
“Italian restaurant with a focus on hand-made pasta, traditional meat and fish dishes and local vegetables,” says Lesura.
Rezdôra is considered a rustic Italian restaurant. By chefs Stefano Secchi and David Suisse, the menu is based on Emilia-Romagna cuisine.
Lukery, Brooklyn
The birth story of this Brooklyn eatery is a very sweet one.
Mark Ikon opened Lukari in Brooklyn after learning that the candy store across the street from where his father was born was closing.
So he decided to open an Italian restaurant inspired by his grandmother’s cooking and Brooklyn pizza.
Carrot Street, New York City
Via Carota in New York City is the last New York restaurant on the list.
At this West Village restaurant, “respected downtown chefs Jody Williams and Rita Sodi create deep, tantalizing Italian cuisine.”
