The 41st Annual Subaru Buffalo 4 Mile Chase returns on Friday, July 21st at 7pm. The race starts on Elmwood Avenue and finishes at Buffalo Theological Seminary.
The 4-mile chase is recognized as western New York’s premier international sporting event and is just one of the top 3 4-mile races in the world.
The event is a summer social running event that over the years has attracted over 33,000 runners from 30 foreign countries and states, including former Olympians, medal winners and world record holders.
The list of runners returning this year also includes three-time winner Monica Ngige, a 30-year-old woman from Kenya.
Nguige was previously ranked 4th in the world in the 5km, finished 5th at the 2022 Boston Marathon, and finished third on the podium in 2021.
Her other major road race wins include;
- Cooper River Bridge Run (Charleston, South Carolina)
- Crescent City Classic, New Orleans, Louisiana
- Azalea Trail Run (Mobile, Alabama)
