(Blasdell, NY)- DMT Cares, in collaboration with First Choice Cleaners, is gearing up to host a dynamic community event in Blasdell on August 10th, 2023. The event aims to equip local children with essential school supplies, while also providing them with an opportunity to enjoy a fresh haircut, courtesy of local barber and philanthropist, Austin Musiak, professionally known as MG Fades. This back-to-school extravaganza is set to uplift and empower young minds as they prepare for the upcoming academic year.
The annual “Backpacks and Buzz Cuts” event, organized by DMT Cares, a non-profit subsidiary of DMT Records, is a testament to the organizations’ commitment to giving back to the community. With the new school year fast approaching, many families face financial challenges in acquiring school supplies for their children. DMT Cares has stepped up to bridge this gap by generously assembling 100 backpacks, each carefully packed with an array of essential supplies.
The well-stocked backpacks include:
(1) One-subject notebook
(1) Pack of 100 index cards
(4) Two pocket folders
(3) Glue sticks
(5) No. 2 pencils
(1) Pencil Case
(1) Plastic ruler
These supplies will undoubtedly equip young learners with the tools they need to succeed academically and foster a positive learning experience.
But that’s not all – Austin Musiak, also known by his barbering moniker MG Fades, is adding an extra dose of confidence to the mix. Musiak, a local barber with a heart of gold, will be providing 50 free haircut vouchers for children aged 15 and under. By offering these complimentary haircuts, Musiak aims to boost the self-esteem and spirits of the young attendees, empowering them to start the school year with renewed confidence.
The “Backpacks and Buzz Cuts” event will take place on August 10th, 2023, from 12 PM to 3 PM. The location is yet to be disclosed but will be conveniently positioned within the heart of Blasdell, NY, making it accessible to families from across the community.
