BUFFALO, NY — Giving Back to Our Communities The Buffalo Police Department hosts Community Days throughout the summer in various neighborhoods around Buffalo.
BPD will share information on social media for those interested in attending the upcoming event, which will take place July 21 from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Martha P. Mitchell Community Center in District E. bottom.

Backpacks with school supplies will also be handed out at four other Community Day events on the following dates:
- District B – Saturday, August 26, 11am-2pm at the Belle Center at 104 Maryland St.
- District C – Saturday, August 19, 693 East Ferry St. Noon to 4pm
- District D – Thursday, July 27, 4-7pm at 655 Hertel Ave.
- District E – Friday, July 21 at 175 Oakmont Ave from 12pm to 3pm
A Teacher’s Desk organization is a store where teachers can purchase school supplies, books, and teacher resources for free. The resource has been distributed to students at her more than 250 schools in her WNY.
Their mission is to distribute free school supplies to students in need, encourage teachers, and provide purpose through volunteerism.
BPD hosts an annual Community Day to encourage community participation for a fun-filled day filled with exciting events, delicious food, and unforgettable memories.
