Local favorite cookie shop Caroline’s Cookies just made the exciting announcement of opening a second brick-and-mortar location in Baton Rouge, bringing its simmering delicacies to new cities.
The young mastermind behind Carolines Cookies, Caroline Merryman, has come a long way from selling handcrafted, seasonal, thick, crumbly cookies via DMs on her Instagram account @eat_carolinescookies.
Her passion for baking was ignited at the age of 8 and she taught herself how to make cakes and cupcakes. But it was during these difficult days due to COVID-19 lockdown that she found solace and inspiration in brightening her day by baking cookies and delivering them to her friends and loved ones.
What started as a fun and creative endeavor soon turned into a full-blown business as demand for her delicious cookies skyrocketed. Caroline began selling her treats at her Farmer’s Market and pop-ups, and as they became more popular, she expanded her reach through online ordering. Finally, on August 14, 2021, Carolyn’s Cookie achieved the milestone of opening its first physical store within her Parc Her Lafayette Shopping Her Center on Calliste Her Salume and Camellia Her Boulevards in Lafayette, Louisiana.

Caroline’s Cookies team has tripled his size, and he’s added not one but two kitchens to meet growing demand. This incredible success has prompted Caroline Her Merryman to embark on a new chapter of expanding her beloved cookie empire to Baton Her Rouge.
