Juneteenth Festival ( celebrate a holiday liberation of people who were enslaved in the United States) The Buffalo event began in 1976 as a culturally relevant alternative to the nation’s bicentennial celebrations. With murals painted and stalls set up booths selling ethnic foods and goods, the entertainment and festive atmosphere was plentiful. The event has grown significantly with a mission to actively preserve and promote the broad heritage of African Americans through educational and cultural activities that benefit the entire community.
We come together under the summer sun to enjoy each other’s love, strength and unity.
