We are no strangers to the constant rise of artificial intelligence. Deepfakes are scary, but watching celebrities engage in impromptu social catfights is fun.
But would you like a robot to cook dinner for you?
Last month, Pizza Jukebox, which “puts a new twist on pizza,” opened its first store equipped with a pizza-making robot known as Luigi.
Located inside a Frisco Walmart on Highway 121, Pizza Jukebox draws a ton of social media traffic. Still, some commenters hesitated to order Luigi. Some worried that the robotic arm lacked the necessary humanity, while others clearly read too much of Isaac Asimov’s novels.

Still, Kimberly Otte, vice president of franchise support services and operations for Pizza Jukebox, said the one-armed employees can make pizzas just as arguably as humans do.
“The best thing about robots for us is consistency,” says Otte. “Because it’s automated, every pizza consistently has the same amount of sauce, the same amount of cheese, the same pepperoni slices, and the same amount of sausage.”
But don’t worry. Luigi still needs human employees to function effectively. Maintenance includes replenishment of these materials.
I couldn’t pass up the chance to try robot-made pizza. Customers can choose a 7-inch or 16-inch pizza topped with pepperoni, sausage, or a combination of both. The pizza is finished with parmesan cheese and oregano.
Prices range from $5.99 for a 7-inch cheese pizza to $18.99 for a 16-inch sausage and pepperoni pizza. Add a bottle of soda for $1.
While waiting for AI pizza, it might be helpful to start dessert early.
Red Mango is about a step and a half away from the pizza ordering counter. Frozen yogurt meets smoothies and natural juices here. Customers must use their arms to access the self-serve topping bar. You’ll find all the classics like fruit, marmalade, candy bars and even cheesecake.
A 7-inch pepperoni pizza is just $5.99.

But don’t get too hung up on which flavor works best from week to week. It takes only about 5 minutes to cook a 7 inch pizza. Give Luigi another minute for the 16 inch pie.
The pizza was very good but the pies are very cheesy so bring napkins. Luigi actually does a great job here.
For yogurt, Red Mango offers 4 different flavors at a time on a weekly basis. Trust the original flavor if you want something a little lemony. Don’t be afraid of popcorn flavors. Sweet and slightly salty, no teeth-cracking grains at all. Coconut had a strong flavor and Nutella had a chocolatey taste with a characteristic hazelnut aroma.
Pizza Jukebox is an innovative take on pizza making. With Luigi as the head chef, you can be assured of perfect ingredient weighing every time. The menu is simple, yet ready to order, making Pizza Her Jukebox a solid dining experience.
