Here in New Jersey, there are many fine dining restaurants that offer exceptional wine experiences with exceptional food and service.
Wine Spectator has announced its 2023 Wine Spectator Awards, which will nominate restaurants across the country offering an exceptional selection of exceptional wines. Here in New Jersey, there are plenty of restaurants worthy of Wine Spectator’s praise.
Wine Spectator presents another prestigious award, the Grand Prix, to restaurants around the world that offer outstanding wine selection, service and cuisine. There are very few shops that deserve the highest award. Restaurants such as Epicure in Paris, Enoteca Pinchiorri in Florence, Italy, The French Laundry in Napa Valley, California, and Le Bernardin in New York have all won grand prizes. Luckily, that list has two of his restaurants in New Jersey. Restaurant Latour in Hamburg, NJ and The Pluckemin Inn in Bedminster, NJ.
Restaurant Latour is located in the luxurious Crystal Springs Resort and offers excellent cuisine from New Jersey farms and artisan producers. The view from the well-appointed dining room is spectacular and offers a very impressive chef’s tasting menu.
Restaurant Latour offers wines from all over the world and its wine cellar is equally impressive. This exclusive wine cellar is managed by Robbie Younes, Chief Operating Officer, and Suzanne Wagner, Wine Director. Congratulations to all the wonderful restaurants here in New Jersey and around the world.
Located in Bedminster, New Jersey, the Plaquemin Inn is a converted Revolutionary War-era farmhouse transformed into a stunning setting that offers the ideal dining experience using locally sourced, seasonal ingredients. The wine program at the Pluckemin Inn is impressive and extensive, winning a grand prize and being hailed as one of the 50 Greatest Wine Experiences in the United States. Since his 2005 opening, the restaurant has received rave reviews from the local and national press.
There are only a handful of restaurants in the world that have been awarded ‘The Grand Prix’ by Wine Spectator magazine. It’s so exciting and welcoming to see a New Jersey restaurant on that list. congratulation.
