BUFFALO, NY — Back to school is approaching, and Verizon Wireless retailer Wireless Zone is handing out 12,000 packed backpacks to local families.
This is the 11th annual School Rocks giveaway, which has provided over 1.3 million backpacks to children across the United States.
On Sunday, July 30th at 1pm, people will be able to visit local locations to pick up their backpacks once supplies have run out. Visit locations.tccrocks.com to see if there’s a location near you.

Surplus backpacks will be donated to local schools in selected locations. The backpack contains a pencil, paper, pencil case, folder, ruler and glue. Limited to one per child.
