The state of New York has had a fair amount of bad weather, and more is expected. The National Weather Service said it will monitor as severe thunderstorms may pass that could cause further flooding. Certain areas are shown passing from West New York to Central New York.
Central New York City, especially the Finger Lakes area, is suffering from severe flooding. In fact, some experts are calling it a once-in-a-thousand-year event. Governor Ho-chul said of the events earlier this week:
Nine months ago, the skies widened and New York state had its most snow in 24 hours. Literally a few weeks ago, here just north of Canada, we saw the skies once again have the most unhealthy air we’ve seen in a generation. Then the skies opened up again and it rained so much — nine inches in the area — that they called it a once-in-a-millennium event,” Ho-chol said. Flash flood emergency.
