BUFFALO, NY (WIVB) – Michael Barham escaped from prison in Warren County, Pennsylvania, just before midnight on July 6 and has been on the run from police ever since. Here is the timeline of events in this case: Please check the latest information.

Barham is the prime suspect in the murder of 34-year-old Kara Hodgkin in Jamestown, New York, earlier this spring. After evading police for nearly two weeks, the suspect allegedly kidnapped an elderly couple in Pennsylvania before going into hiding in South Carolina. He was eventually captured and brought back to western New York in late June before being extradited to Pennsylvania on kidnapping charges. No charges have yet been filed in Hodgkin’s death.
May 11th: Jamestown police found the woman’s body and responded to the car fire.
May 12: The deceased woman has been identified as 34-year-old Kara Hodgkin, mother of three children aged 8, 11 and 14.
May 22nd: Barham, who has been identified as the “primal suspect” in Hodgkin’s murder, is accused of kidnapping a couple in Pennsylvania while on the run.
May 24th: Barham is arrested after leading police on a nearly two-week search in South Carolina.
June 14th: Barham appears in federal court in Buffalo before being extradited to Pennsylvania.
July 6th: Barham uses exercise equipment and bed sheets to break out of Warren County Jail.He was last seen at 11:20 p.m.
July 8th: Police said they believed Barham was still in the area and were announcing a $7,500 bounty from U.S. Marshals and a $2,000 Warren County Crime Prevention Department for information leading to his arrest. .
July 9th: Police said they had found a stockpile of supplies believed to be Barham’s.
July 10: Pennsylvania State Police said they believe Barham remains in the neighborhood and will be arrested.
